Tomorrow we're going on a work-trip to CPH for 3 days. We'll be attending a design & interior exhibition, but i hope we can spend some hours of free time in the city we kinda fell in love with. This is my wishlist of to do's, i hope to cross off as much as possible!
1. Biking around the city.
First of all because our time is very precious, so it's important that we can easily move from one place to another. But most of all because it's the most relaxing thing to do in this beautiful city. The paths of the Sönder Boulevard, the city center, crossing the four lakes and of course the amazing Cykelslangen (the snake bridge aka the summum of CPH's bike-friendliness).
Besides the great infrastructure and city architecture, there's a great mentality in CPH which really makes it easy for biking around; other cyclist are chill and courteous (watch and learn Antwerp!) and there aren't many cars on the road.
2. Don't be a snob & visit the Tivoli Gardens.
Usually i'm not really into the big tourist must sees, but i'd like to make an exception this time. Last time we passed by the park a few times and it looks really magical so i hope we'll find the time and take a sunset stroll on the Ferris weel, it's said to be the biggest one in Denmark so i expect a pretty impressive view over the city.
3. Some serious shopping!
Steve is all about good basics! (think jeans, white tees and fresh sneakers all day erryday). In "La Belgique" it's not easy to find the perfect stores who combine quality & basic design for men. And i admit, Denmark has some fine brands who are known for their quality basics: Norse, Samsoe & Samsoe, Wood Wood, J.Lindeberg, Han Kjøbenhavn, Won Hundred,...
4. I prefer interior shopping so my stops will be DANSKmadeforrooms and DANSKkitchen in Istedgade. Check out our top 5 interior shops we posted in spring.
5. Wining & dining at Meatpacking district.
Last visit, we had dinner in Kødbyens Fiskebar in Vesterbro's Meatpacking district.
Besides the nice interior and great food, i enjoyed the whole neighbourhood! Lots of young people, relaxed atmosphere, lots of restaurants and a cool industrial atmosphere. If we are in the mood for Italian (we always are!), we might visit Mother. They are specialized in sourdough pizzas of the highest quality cooked in wood-fired oven.
6. Oh and one last address, i'm afraid we won't have any time left, but on our last trip we went to the Amager beach and afterwards chilled out at Wulff + Konstali. You have to go there, we spend hours just hanging, enjoying the sun, drinks & snacks.
Here are some pics from our last stay.
